Rachael Chatoor is a singer/songwriter/performer who has embraced the world of social networking to generate
work locally as well as connect and share her music worldwide.  Often a storyteller for causes, Rachael has a
song that has not only been donated to several Breast Cancer fundraising efforts, but was recently included on
a worldwide CD relase for Stupid Cancer, one of Time Magazines top websites of 2007.  Most recently recorded
is her song ,Mama Cried (produced by Mick Dalla Vee, who plays with Randy Bachman, the song is written
about the life of a runaway teen who left an abusive home only to find herself being abused all over again on
the streets. Mama Cried is intended to be a harsh wake up call for Mothers and will hopefully be used to bring
attention to the plight of street teens. A  multi-tasker in the industry, Rachael can be found performing live in
many capacities from performing solo at the wine receptions for Canada Screens (exclusive pre-screening of
Canadian Films), to  headlining her own band in the Great Canadian Casino lounge rooms. Being a true
collaborator by nature, Rachael is easily as happy fronting a full band as she is singing background vocals on
main and festival stages for other well known artists and show bands. Also an avid hobby videographer,
Rachael can be found filming and editing grassroots videos with fellow singer gal pal country recording artist
Kelly Brock, for both minor and major local artists both front of house and backstage, sharing exclusive behind
the scenes glimpses of the life of a working musician. She uses You Tube extensively to promote her own work
as well as the work of the other artists she films and she uses her blog  to document the wonderful opportunites
she enjoys while working as a professional singer in Vancouver, BC Canada and also as the virtual vehicle to
deliver her videos to her audience. Rachael is especially keen to continue with her songwriting and recording
as she finally feels she has arrived at a place where she has stories to tell and a voice/platform to tell them!

In Rachael's Own Words
I also work as a production co-ordinator for the League of Rock  http://www.leagueofrock.com . It is a community
for non-pro musicians ( Doctors lawyers, mechanics, Moms, Dads, family people etc. who gave up their dream
to be in a band in order to have families and careers).  They get the chance to experience the world of playing
in a band, recording and playing live. We facilitate the rehearsal space, studios, venues, workshops, gear, and
even provide beer and pizza in the rehearsal space! League of Rock founder, Terry Moshenberg and his
business partner Topher Stott also engage  local industry artists and celebs to come in and coach the members
in workshops. Tal Bachman (She's so High) is our figurehead coach in Vancouver and members have all been
thrilled with his and all of the help and inspiration given from all of the amazing coaches Terry and Topher bring
in.  We give the League of Rock members the experience of their lives. I can't tell you how inspiring it is to walk
people through this process, the smiles I see weekly are priceless.  I even joined one of the bands because
they needed a bass player (and I don't play bass), so I am going through the experience with them
and talking them through the nervousness by showing them how to fearlessly try something new!

Congratulations Rachael! You rock, and once again a Canadian songbird has stopped all the competition for
this month and raised the bar higher than I want to jump. A great voice, catchy melodies, compelling lyrics and
easy on the eyes. A real sweetheart of a human being, as humble as she is talented. Ambitious and clever in
her approach to her songs. She won me over with Mama Cried and sealed the deal with Long Distance.
They were both picked as the winner because frankly, either could have won my competition, and
submission were heavy this round. Rachael is radio-ready!
