Since 1970, Pat Adams, the editor and
founder of the Tennessee Concerts
website, has been documenting the
concerts and musical events of Middle
Tennessee. His website is chock full of
photos, exclusive videos, artist and tour
information and is even your source for
concert tickets. Every time you visit the
site, there is something new. Recently

Pat's great website, is a treasure-trove of memorabilia dating back
almost fifty years. He has been around Nashville a long time and his
website features the Tennessee appearances of music greats such
as Elvis, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Stevie
Wonder and Southern all-stars such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton,
Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker and many more.
Success has not spoiled Pat Adams, who is still a laid back,
soft-spoken country gentleman. When Pat is filming at the Play It
Again Jam (which Tennessee Concerts has been sponsoring since
it's beginnings), he is nearly invisible. That is a great trick for any
videographer who can pull it off, and he succeeds in doing it as well
as anyone I've ever seen. Many of his videos are up on YouTube,
and you can easily tell that the artists are not distracted by the camera.
Lately, The competition is not without rewards, and winners not only
receive prizes, but their songs are passed on to other music industry
people.
With an online store (offering everything from hats and caps to little
Tennessee Concerts shirts for your dog), photos, articles, memorabilia
dating back to the 1960's, videos, a good-sized links page and a large
database containing information on the musical stars of today and
yesterday, Tennessee Concerts appears to be a kind of 'one-stop
shopping' site for music lovers in Nashville and everywhere else.

Talent Competition in the Music City Examiner
by Ken Utterback

New talent competition in Nashville
There is a new talent competition in Nashville, sponsored by
Tennessee Concerts and Windows Off The Cumberland, in
association with Sonic Bids. This is a brand new competition
and your band can still get in on the first go-around.

Promoter Pat Adams, of Tennessee Concerts, makes clear his
reasons for initiating the competition, on the Sonic Bids
website: "Pat has a vision and commitment to helping bands
fine tune their presentation and hopefully be rewarded for
their efforts in a tough economic time, where promotion is
key and crucial to take your band to the next level. Pat
pledges to make your experience with this opportunity a fair
and pleasant one."

Winners of the competition receive everything from an
engraved plaque to a personalized, custom band web page,
maintained for one year, on the Tennessee Concerts website.
Other prizes include the band's drummer getting a free one
year subscription to the Not So Modern Drummer magazine,
one of the sponsors of the talent competition. The winner for
2009, chosen from the monthly winners, will receive prizes
that include a booking at the music venue Windows Off The
Cumberland. The video of that event will then be promoted
on the Tennessee Concerts website and on You Tube.

About Promoter Pat Adams:
TV Producer Pat Adams is producing a Nashville cable access TV show featuring music videos from
musicians and bands in the Nashville area. The show is scheduled to start airing sometime this year.

Pat Adams worked for the Kaleidoscope, a Nashville music paper in the 1970's. He was also a roving
reporter for WLAC-AM, reporting from Nashville hotspots like The Hee Haw TV set and RCA
Recording Studios, where Elvis Presley recorded many of his hits. This was the start of Pat's interest in
concert promotion and covering the local music scene.

His first project was the Creekers Ball in the 1980's, an annual Nashville music charity event featuring
dozens of southern rock acts.

In 2003, Pat got the idea for Tennessee Concerts as an outlet to document, preserve and showcase his
decades of covering the Nashville music scene, online to a worldwide audience.

More recently Pat is the promoter and videographer of Nashville's longest running rock and roll
musicians jam, The Play It Again Jam. Players at the 2006-2011 Play it Again Jam events include
musicians that have worked with Taylor Swift, The Four Tops, Kiss, Robert Palmer, Beatlemania,
Pacific Gas and Electric, Rick Derringer, Sam & Dave, Hank Williams Jr, Wilson Pickett, JJ Cale, the
Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stonewall Jackson, plus several members from the original
Charlie Daniels Band.

Pat has a vision and commitment to helping bands fine tune their presentation and hopefully rewarded
for their efforts in a tough economic time, where promotion is key and crucial to take your band to the
next level.

The song contest is open for submissions until November 20, 2011
