| Colonel Charlie Daniels: The legendary Charlie Daniels is recognized as a Colonel (in Tennessee) from Governor Bill Haslam (although Haslam did not attend) at the Operation Yellow Ribbon show at Allen Arena / Lipscomb University on March 29, 2011. You can see a short backstage clip of Charlie holding up his award at the end of the video. The host of the show was Sirius XM's broadcast personality Storme Warren, although Major General Terry "Max" Haston surprised Charlie by presenting the award for the Governor. The show featured The Grascals, Wynonna Judd, Montgomery Gentry and Charlie Daniels. This was a military event with several Generals and lots of military personnel. Charlie Daniels was recognized for his involvement with the military. Charlie Daniels is best known for his work with the Charlie Daniels Band. He career has spanned decades. Hit songs include Souths Gonna Do It, Long Haired Country Boy and Devil Went Down To Georgia. He did the Grammy Award winning Devil Went Down To Georgia along with The Grascals at this show. You'll see some short one second pauses in the video as I was taking pictures while I was video taping. Recorded by Pat Adams |
