THE ORIGINAL SURVIVING BEACH BOYS ARE REUNITING FOR A NEW TOUR & ALBUM
The Beach Boys get together and do it again fifty years later, after it all started. Just announced,
a new tour and album are coming next year from the original surviving members. They just did a remake
of their hit "Do It Again" for an upcoming album in 2012. They have played Nashville many times,
although I'm not sure if they will playing Nashville on this reunion tour or not.

THIS MONTH MARKS 41 YEARS OF ME WRITING ON THE NASHVILLE MUSIC SCENE.
It has been 41 years ago this month that I started writing, broadcasting & photographing the local Nashville
music scene. I started as a writer (and co-creater) of the Kaleidoscope Newspaper & as a reporter for
WLAC-AM radio. I started my TennesseeConcerts.com website in 2003,
then signed on as a ticket affiliate a few years later.

THIS YEAR MARKS 40 YEARS SINCE MY FIRST VIDEO, THE BEEGEES IN NASHVILLE
In 1971, I took my parents 8mm film movie camera to a BeeGees concert at Nashville's
Municipal Auditorium. This was the beginning of my hundreds of music related videos to come

DIANA ROSS (FROM THE SUPREMES) IS COMING TO THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM
Diana Ross is coming to Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on March 2, 2012. Diana Ross
was the lead singer for The Supremes as well has having a very successful solo career, also.

KENNY CHESNEY & TIM McGRAW COMING TO NASHVILLE'S L.P. FIELD
Nashville's L.P. Field (TN Titans Stadium) is having another big concert next year. Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw
will be there in concert on June 23, 2012. There have only been a handfull of concerts at LP Field over the years,
outside of the annual CMA Music Festival. This is Kenny Chesney's second concert at LP Field since it was built.

PINK FLOYD'S ROGER WATERS BRINGING THE WALL TO NASHVILLE'S BRIDGESTONE ARENA
Roger Waters, co-founder/singer/songwriter of Pink Floyd, has announced the return of “The Wall” to North America
in 2012. He will be in Nashville on June 19 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The masterpiece will be performed
in-its-entirety featuring a full band and state-of-the-art production. Tickets are currently on sale for this big event.
I remember when Pink Floyd (without Roger Waters) played at Vanderbilt Stadium in 1994. What a show!

This was our second year of attending the annual Flatrock Music & Arts Festival at Coleman Park.

WAYNE MOSS from BAREFOOT JERRY
We went and checked out Wayne Moss during his weekly performances at the Madison Piccadilly Cafeteria shortly
before it closed down. It was nice to see Wayne again. I'm a huge Barefoot Jerry fan and enjoyed the music as well as
meeting Wayne & his wife Connie.  I went to see Barefoot Jerry many times back in the 70's and have all of the CD's.

U2 at VANDERBILT STADIUM
The was the largest concert of the year in Nashville in 2011. This was a huge concert held at the Vanderbilt Stadium.

YES at the WOODS OF FONTANEL
My first trip to The Woods oF Fontanel Amphitheater. I really enjoyed the latest concert venue to come to Nashville.
This was my third time of seeing Yes. Just as I did at Starwood & the Ryman, I really enjoyed seeing Yes.
We were right up front for this concert featuring Yes & Styx.

STYX at the WOODS OF FONTANEL
Styx headlined the Yes & Styx concert at The Woods Of Fontanel this past summer. My second time of seeing Styx.
I saw them back in 2008 at the Wildhorse Saloon. Styx always puts on a great show. See these guys if you
ever get a chance. We were right up front for Styx and got some great pictures.

GIBSON GUITAR SUMMER JAM 2011
I always enjoy going to the Gibson Summer Jam events. This year was no different. I've been going to these events for ten
years. We got to see up & coming artist Gary Clark Jr. You'll be hearing more about him in the future. The Dudes were there,
featuring some cool country musicians including Keith Anderson and others. Bachman Turner headlined this very cool show.

BACHMAN & TURNER (BTO) AT GIBSON
My first time of seeing Bachman Turner since I saw BTO at Muthers Music Emporium in Nashville, around 1973.
These guys are still great! They did all of the old hits, as well as new music from their new album.

BIG & RICH with GRETCHEN WILSON
I rarely go to country music concerts, but we were given tickets to this one. This concert was held at the Wood Of Fontanel,
one of my favorite local venues now. You should check this place out in 2012 if you haven't been there yet.
Both of these acts played on stage together and put on a good show. As usual, I always enjoy seeing Gretchen.

EXIT IN - 40th ANNIVERSARY SHOW
I really enjoyed this show. I've always been a big fan of the Exit In. The 40 Anniversary show brought back past Exit In favorites
including Barefoot Jerry, Mac Gayden (and Skyboat), Dianne Davidson, Marshall Chapman, Tracy Nelson & Buzz Cason.
This show brought back some memories, as I saw several of these guys back in the 70's (and the early 80's).

BAREFOOT JERRY - THE EXIT IN
Barefoot Jerry is one of my favorites. It was nice to see these guys again.,
The 2011 version includes 1970's members Wayne Moss & Russ Hicks, as well as some other talented musicians.
They did a great selections of songs including the favorites. See these guys if you get a chance.

MAC GAYDEN & SKYBOAT - THE EXIT IN
I've seen Mac Gayden a bunch of times in different forms including Barefoot Jerry, solo and with Skyboat. I've also seen him
play guitar with Zenphonic & more recently with Sweetwater Rose. Anything Mac Gayden is involved in is good quality music.
He did Morning Glory, Everlasting Love & other favorites. Check out Mac Gayden around town, if you get a chance.

THE WANNABEATLES IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE
I finally got to see The WannBeatles. I had been wanting to see these guys since recently hearing a lot about them.
I really enjoyed the show, as I'm a huge Beatles fan. We got some really good pictures from the show, and bought their CD.
They are up for a Grammy Award this year in February. We wish them luck. See 'em if you get a chance.

DEL McCOURY & SAM BUSH IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE
This was a fun show.  The Del McCoury Band with special guest Sam Bush in a Celebration of bluegrass legend Bill Monroe.
This was just outside the historic Ryman Auditorium in the parking lot. We missed Vince Gill & Dierks Bentley who had just
performed with Del McCoury. We had been up the road watching the WannaBeatles. Two downtown shows in one afternoon.

TennesseeConcerts TV Show - We are currently working on our Nashville cable access TV show.
The show will be patterned after our Tennessee Concerts website with local music videos, pictures,
memorabilia, guests, concert slideshows & more. I know we've been a little slow about putting
this together, but it's a lot of work and very time consuming. Too many things going on.
We have just found a venue to tape it in and plan to start taping in 2012.
