Paul McCartney
and Wings
A #3 hit single in the US,
the song was recorded
in Nashville,
while the band was staying at the
farm of Curly Putman Jr., which
accounts for the title. The song
continued McCartney and Wings'
success after the Band on the Run
album. However it only made #16 on
the British charts. McCartney stayed
here for six weeks in 1974 recording
and rehearsing for a Wings World Tour

Leon Russell  pictures from November 1, 2008.
Leon Russell is about the only performer that I go see every year, only because he always puts on a good
show and always has a talented band. He performed hits including Back To The Island, Hummingbird, Out In
The Woods, Rolling In My Sweet Babys Arms and others. He did covers of Rolling Stones songs Jumpin Jack
Flash & Wild Horses, plus The Beatles I've Just Seen A Face. Leon also performed many songs that he said
he grew up listening to.See my pictures from last nights (November 1) show at 3rd & Lindsley, plus related

Pictures of Poco. My picture with Poco backstage
Poco was the opening act at the Dave Mason show. I've seen Poce three times in Nashville, and they always
put on a great show. I remember seeing them at the Tennessee Theaterin the early eighties when the Legend
album came out with Crazy Love and Heart of the Night. I was at the taping of theirDVD, Keeping the Legend
Alive at the Belcourt Theater a few years ago. I got pictures this time. Not only that, but I had a chance to go
backstage and meet Poco. See my picture with the guys, plus YouTube videos of Poco from the Belcourt
Theater DVD.

and Nashlinks Chip Curley
Chip Curley's Nashville Tennessee related pages have become
the most popular of the vintage Nashville websites. His
www.nashlinks.com is very informative with his Nashville events
calendar. He has a cool page on his

w
ww.nashlinks.com/remember page with memories that even
go back further than me. Chip's combo & band pages document
a history of Nashville bands from the 1950's
www.nashlinks.com/shadows.htm ,
the 1960's
www.nashlinks.com/sixties.htm
and the 1970's www.nashlinks.com/seventies.htm .
As a kid, my grandparents lived next door to Chip's family.
I remember knowing Chip's younger brother and going to their
house a time or two in the 60's, although neither Chip or myself
can not remember if we ever met back then.
I told Chip that when I started out to create a website,
I had planned to come up with a vintage Nashville website myself, but changed to Tennessee concerts after I saw that he had
great vintage Nashville web pages already. I knew I could not compete with NashLinks, but will admit, I have been influenced by
the good things that Chip Curley has done on the internet.  My many concert pictures and a love for music guided me in the
direction of a Nashville Tennessee Concert web site in 2003. I have noticed that NashLinks and TennesseeConcerts overlap
often on the major search engines. Gary Allen claims that NashLinks & TennesseeConcerts are the two best sites in town.

This was a really cool concert. I was not sure what to expect. Yes, with a new lead singer. Lead singer
Benoit David held his own, as he had the Yes voice, originated by Jon Anderson. The music sounded
great including a solo set by guitarist Steve Howe, who paid tribute to Chet Atkins with a little finger pickin'
