from a 1971 concert. I took this footage with an old 8mm film camera. The video does
not have sound. This is the only known footage of the BeeGees in Nashville Tennessee.

Leon Russell is about the only performer that I go see every year, only because
he always puts on a good show and always has a talented band. He performed hits
including Back To The Island, Hummingbird, Out In The Woods, Rolling In My
Sweet Babys Arms and others. He did covers of Rolling Stones songs
Wild Horses, and Jumpin Jack Flash, plus The Beatles I've Just Seen A Face.
Leon also performed many songs that he said he grew up listening to

(Nashville, TN - Oct 25, 2008) On Nov. 11,
2008, Blue Hat recording artist Charlie
Daniels will release the live concert DVD
package Preachin', Prayin', Singin' with
Charlie Daniels & Friends: Live From
Nashville, distributed through KOCH
Records. When Daniels performed in
Nashville in 2005 to debut songs from his
Grammy-nominated bluegrass-gospel album
Songs From the LongLeaf Pines, the
evening quickly took a historical turn.
Daniels surprised his Country Music Hall
of Fame audience by inviting several of his
personal bluegrass heroes up on the Ford
Theater stage to jam. Guest pickers included
Mac Wiseman, members of the Scruggs family
(Earl, Gary and Randy) and McCoury family
(Del, Ronnie and Rob), as well as singers
Sharon, Cheryl and Buck White.

In addition to the riveting performance footage, Preachin', Prayin', Singin' features commentary
from Daniels as he reflects back on the early days of The Charlie Daniels Band, playing with
The Earl Scruggs Review in the late '60s and the music of close friend Mac Wiseman. Other
features include intimate interviews and behind-the-scenes conversations with Daniels, Scruggs,
Wiseman and others who were an integral part of this magical night.

I've seen this DVD and it is great! I put it in my DVD player and couldn't quit watching.
This is the best bluegrass video I have ever seen, and includes some of Nashville's best.
Charlie Daniels plays bluegrass songs he listened to while growing up in North Carolina.

Lynyrd Skynyrd on New Years Eve
Trace Adkins & Lynyrd Skynyrd will
co-headline a New Years Eve concert at
the Sommet Center in Nashville. The show
will be hosted by comedian Killer Beaz.
Trace Adkins will open at 7:00, followed by
.38 Special, then Lynyrd Skynyrd
will close the show. Both Trace Adkins and
Lynyrd Skynyrd will be simultaneously
performing in Pikeville Kentucky, as well
as the Nashville concert. Lynyrd Skynyrd
will opening the Pikeville KY show that
night, then fly to Nashville to close the
Nashville concert. Trace Adkins will open
the Nashville show, before flying to Pikeville
to close that show. A second band will be
playing at both shows, while the
co-headliners fly to the other show.

LYNYRD SKYNYRD IN NASHVILLE ON NEW YEARS EVE

Powwow at the park on October 17-19, 2008

Hey everybody! It's been a busy autumn at the park, with several
big events/projects having taken place recently... and several
other exciting things on the horizon. Here's a rundown of what's
going on with the Friends group and around Long Hunter State
Park:

FALL FOLIAGE

As of the second week of November, there was still quite a bit of
autumn color around Long Hunter State Park. One of the best
places to view fall foliage is along the two-mile Couchville Lake
Trail, which features many brilliantly colored Sugar Maple trees.
The Couchville Lake/Area 2 parking lot also features a lot of
color, with the combination of maples and bright red Flowering
Dogwood leaves. Two more good areas to view fall foliage,
because of their wide variety of trees, are the large open fields
beside and behind the park visitor center. With rain and cooler
weather ahead, you probably won't have much longer to take in
all the color....so get out there while you can! Jason Allen

Poco was the opening act at the Dave Mason show. I've seen Poce three times in Nashville, and they always
put on a great show. I remember seeing them at the Tennessee Theaterin the early eighties when the Legend
album came out with Crazy Love and Heart of the Night. I was at the taping of theirDVD, Keeping the Legend
Alive at the Belcourt Theater a few years ago. I got pictures this time. Not only that, but I had a chance to go

See new video from the Play It Again Jam in Nashville taken by myself. These are Nashville musicians that
have played with the stars.The Play It Again Jam is a Nashville Musicians Jam, currently on holdat the time,
until another venue can be found. TennesseeConcerts sponsors the Play It Again Jam, and I have been known
to play tambourine. Gary Allen host the Jam.Gary was the drummer for the Charlie Daniels Band, J.J. Cale &
Opry member Stonewall Jackson.He was a part of the beginning of the Volunteer Jam, a Nashville tradition,He
hosted a Jam in Nashville with Dee Murray from the Elton John Band.And, has been a host for Nashville's Play
It Again Jam since 2006.The videos consist of 11 total videos. Songs include Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak and Boys
Are Back In Town. Some of the videos have no sound, but document many of the talented hundreds of
musicians that attendedthe Play It Again Jam, between 2006-2007.
