Biography:
Lorrie Morgan
grew up the
daughter of
Grand Ole Opry
star
George Morgan.
She spent many
nights backstage
at the Opry and
made her debut
at age thirteen.
Her father died
when she was
sixteen, and she
was singing
professionally a
year later.
At twenty-one
she was opening
up shows for
country singer
George Jones.
She performed at
Opryland USA,
sang demo
sessions for
country
publishing giant
Acuff-Rose in
Nashville.
She became a
member of the
Grand Ole Opry
in 1985.
Morgan was
married to
singer-songwriter
Jon Randall from
1996-1999, and
they charted the
hit duet
"By My Side".
She and country
music singer
Sammy Kershaw
later married and
own and operate
a hot chicken
restaurant on the
outskirts of
Nashville.
Morgan's
12th album
"Show Me How"
was released in
early 2003.
