who has repeatedly demonstrated his abilities as an outstanding performing artist and songwriter. With his
unique singing style
and keyboard wizardry, he has formulated his piano-oriented gospel style into one of the more original and
timeless sounds, with elements of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, streamlined gospel and Country & Western sprinkled

One More For The Road
From the April 11, 2010 show by Carol Alger
Leon Russell is no stranger to Nashville, TN  3rd and Lindsley. Leon and his band did not fail to create the usual
"high energy" performance I've known from attending 36 past performances across the U S A. After the band took
their places on stage Leon greeted the full house with the question: How you all been doin'? That got the party
started and the set list went: something like this...

Jumping Jack Flash
Papa was a Rolling Stone
Intro to: Paint It black
Kansas City
Sweet Little Angel
Lady Blue
Dixie Lullaby
Baby What You Want Me To Do
Back to The Island
Kansas City Woman
Let The good times roll
Wild Horses
I've Just Seen A Face
Georgia
Prince Of Peace
Out In The Woods

Band intro:

Chris Simmons solo:
A Song For You
Delta Lady
Rolling In My sweet Baby's Arms
Stranger In A Strange Land

Encore:
Great Balls Of Fire
Roll Over Beethoven

Leon really got involved with the people, telling stories about personal experiences during his musical career. He recognized
a girl in the crowd who had been wearing a top hat. He told a familiar story before performing Wild Horses. Johnny Giles, a
former guitarist for Leon stopped by to hear Leon and the band since it had been a while.

Oh what a night of inspiration, music and fun!

Elton John and Leon Russell will be embarking on a U.S. tour in support of 'The Union', the duo's
