Jerry Lee Lewis
Born Sept 29, 1935
Ferriday Louisiana

Biography:
Though he had only
three Top Ten hits in
the purely rock & roll
phase of his career,
many critics believe
Jerry Lee Lewis was
as talented a
Fifties rocker a as
Sun Records
label-mate Elvis
Presley. Some also
believe he could have
made it just as big
commercially is
his piano-slamming
musical style was not
so relentlessly wild,
his persona not so
threateningly hard
edged.
Eventually Lewis
decided to abandon
Rock & Roll for
Country Music. He
went on to have many
country top ten hits.

Top Ten Rock Hits:
Whole Lot Of Shakin'
Great Balls Of Fire
Breathless

Death & Tragedy:
Lewis' personal life
has been marked with
tragedy & controversy.
Two sons died young.
Two wives died,
under mysterious
circumstances,
although no charges
were ever filed.
