Brennan Stoelb brings meaning and a genuine nature back to the heart of songwriting.
Channeling the spirit of Jack Kerouac, the earnestness of Bob Dylan and the sensitivity of
John Denver, Stoelb continues to deliver a musical experience that leaves the listener enthralled.

Brennan Stoelb
The fascination with the craft of songwriting has long captivated Brennan—ever since listening to his parents’ records as a
child.  He quips that the writers said “so much, but said it in a simple way.”  Thus, at 16 years of age Brennan formed his
first band, entitled “The Roaming Band of Chicken Thieves.”  With a sense of humor and an erstwhile passion, the musical
legacy began, leading Stoelb to play festivals, fundraisers coffeehouses and backyards throughout his home state of Indiana.

To date, Brennan has won accolades from the Woody Guthrie Folk Contest as well as inclusion on the soundtrack for the
Tom Fischer documentary, “Kentucky Bourbon.” In addition, his single, “American Girls,” has garnered extensive radio play
on WITZ 104.7.

With lines like “American girls don’t know how to be alone” and “your memories, they try to own ya,” Brennan’s lyrics hide
meaning beneath the surface, speaking to the everyman with sensitivity and insight. When asked why he enjoys the process
so much, he states that, “I like seeing things take shape; how things you think never would make any sense sometimes come
together and sound perfect, like they’re meant to be.” He may not know how it got there, but Brennan Stoelb’s music is
definitely meant to be.

Brennan is currently volunteering at Wild Spirits Wolf Sanctuary, where he and coworkers put together a wolf song CD.
Brennan recorded and compiled the wolf calls, snarls, and howls into 13 distinct tracks. The CD is available in the store.

QUOTE FROM GARY ALLEN
Brennan Stroelb could be the illegitimate son of one Robert Allen Zimmerman, the nasal braying, grizzly folk singing troubador
whose coattails were wide enough for The Charlie Daniels Band to ride on from proms and car wash openings to Madison
Square Garden. Brennan is unique and may never live long enough to play down the Dylan comparisons, even though it's just
the way he sings. His songs and delivery catapulted him to second runnerup in my Sonicbids competition "The Best Song In
The World." So, he actually has the third best song in the world. The competition this quarter was stiff as Al Gore, so that is an
impressive ranking.

Brennan has read the writings of beatnicks such as Kerouac and I suspect William Burroughs and probably has owned a few
Tom Waits records. The songs are delicate, perfect poetry married to a very natural and honest musical feel. They have a
lonesome appeal that is Indiana folk at it's finest. He sings with a lot of experience to be twenty five years young. The songs
matter and are executed with a bare bones approach that I learned from JJ Cale. "The best licks you will play for me are the
ones that you don't play." I got it and so does Brennan. Less is more.

Sail on Ilona is a great track that is reminiscent of Piano Man, the best piano song ever written according to Terry Adams from
NRBQ. My favorite track is possibly
American Girls because it is powerful and so true. This song could change the way you
look at future relationships. I love the sweet slide guitar sound and can even imagine George Harrison looking down and giving
it a thumbs up. These are true folk songs that are personal and from the heart. The harmonica is a nice and cool addition.

Waits and Dylan can both take a break from the ragged raspy throat torture, share a Halls Mentho Lyptus and pass the torch
to Brennan. He will no doubt give until it hurts as his predecessors have. We are proud to be associated with a talented and
grounded artist that could very well be the succesor to the crown of the man whose coattails we rode in the seventies right on
to your radio and television. It's one hell of a ride my friend, so pack a bag. Brennan Stoelb delivers pure gold and I am proud
to say I am a fan!
